Q & A and Masterclass

The institute opens with a conversation with Ricardo Cyncynates, assistant concertmaster for the National Symphony Orchestra.  How did Mr. Cyncynates decide to become a professional musician and what challenges did he face along the way?  What is it like to perform in the NSO?  Students are asked to bring their questions to direct this forum.

Immediately following the open forum, Mr. Cyncynates will present a masterclass with select violin students from the Advanced Institute. Students will be invited to perform based on their Summer Orchestral Institute video submission. Students will be notified at least a week prior to the masterclass if they are invited to perform.

The health and safety of all participants in the institute is paramount. Loudoun Safety follows all COVID protocols.  Anyone who enters the rehearsal space will have his/her temperature taken.  Masks must be worn at all times.  Students are asked to bring their own music stands to reduce potential exposure.
