LSYO POLICY

LSYO Policy

In support of school music programs, members of LSYO are required to participate in at least one large ensemble at their school. Reasonable exemptions will be considered for musician whose academic schedules present unavoidable conflicts with school ensemble participation (i.e. AOS, AET or MATA) The signature of a school academic advisor will be required in any such case. Home-schooled students and students whose schools do not have a relevant ensemble for their instrument, are also exempted.

 

Auditions

All students must audition in order to join the LSYO Program.  Auditions will be held on June 9, July 28, July 30 and July 31. Audition requirements are posted at

Tuition

Annual tuition includes all rehearsals as well as master classes/intensive training from professional musicians. Annual tuition is due by the first rehearsal the student attends.  A $50 sibling discount is offered for additional students in the LSYO program. Payment plans may be arranged by emailing Karen Knobloch, Loudoun Symphony Executive Director at admin@loudounsymphony.org.
