Michelle Rippey
Vice President, Board of Directors

Michelle’s passion for music as a flutist led her to the Loudoun Symphony almost ten years ago. She initially joined the board as a Player Representative and later moved into the role of Vice President where she continues to serve. During her tenure as a board member, Michelle has been involved in various initiatives that impact the growth and success of the organization, including strategic planning, research regarding symphony orchestra growth trends, nonprofit governance best practice, and the implementation of financial modeling that supports the long term sustainability of the organization.

A lifelong musician, Michelle Rippey holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute performance and a Master’s Degree in Education. Michelle is an active freelance musician and teacher. She is a professor of flute at the Frederick Community College and performs with various groups and as a soloist throughout the Potomac region.
