Loudoun Symphony Orchestra Announces

Vacancies for the 2025-2026 Season

Loudoun Symphony Orchestra is holding auditions on July 22 and 23, 2025 for its 2025-2026 season. Open positions include 4th Horn ($50 per service), Assistant Principal Second Violin ($50 per service) and Section Violin and Cello (volunteer/unpaid).

The LSO performs 5-7 concert sets between late September, 2025 to early June, 2026. The average concert cycle includes 5 services. Rehearsals are generally on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-10:00 PM in Ashburn, VA. Please note that participants in the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra must be at least 19 years of age.

Audition Details

Auditions for Assistant Principal 2nd Violin and Horn 4 will take place 7-10 PM on July 22 and auditions for Section Violin and Section Cello will take place 7-10 PM on July 23. The venue for both audition dates is the band room at Stone Bridge High School (43100 Hay Road, Ashburn, VA).

Please note that submission of an audition request does not guarantee an audition. Additional information will be sent to qualified candidates who are invited to audition following review of application information submitted below.

To arrange an audition, please complete the following information. The LSO personnel manager will then respond to your request. Any questions may be directed to orchpersonnel@loudounsymphony.org. All applications must be received by 5:00 PM on July 15.
