In support of school music programs, members of LSYO are required to participate in at least one large ensemble at their school. Reasonable exemptions will be considered for musician whose academic schedules present unavoidable conflicts with school ensemble participation (i.e. AOS, AET or Monroe courses). The signature of a school academic advisor will be required in any such case. Home-schooled students and students whose schools do not have a relevant ensemble for their instrument are also exempted.
